Just like I had suffered from depression for years, I have also suffered from ill-health for a number of years. Most of it I feel was because of stress. I used to be so stressed that I felt like one day my head would burst open like a pressure cooker.
Over the years the depression and the stress manifested many illnesses in me. I was always feeling sick. And I gained a lot of weight as well.
When I finally became pre-diabetic too, my doctor said either I control the weight issues now or I’d develop a full fledged Diabetes.
I worked diligently with diet and exercise, and lost a lot of weight, and my pre-diabetes was gone. But many other problems still remained.
Finally I started to focus only on being happy. And I realized that it was hard because I was forever stressed. I knew that if I could beat depression, I could beat the stress too. So I worked on that.
I gained back a lot of the weight I had lost. But I noticed that I was feeling quite good. I felt healthy. Yes, still very fat, but I felt good. I was really not paying attention to my eating. I have been eating whatever I wanted, and always stopped myself from beating myself up if I ate something not good for me. I focused on enjoying even the junk, guilt-free, stress-free.
Today I went to get all my physical test results. And I thought I’d get a long lecture from my doctor about how I must take care of my diet as my sugar is off the roof….cholesterol is bad….etc etc etc.
She was beaming! All my numbers were EXCELLENT! Without even trying! All I have tried so far was to make sure I wouldn’t get stressed. And just this effort paid off in a BIG way.
Now I even feel motivated to lose the rest of the weight, just because! 😀
Moral Of The Story: Get Rid Of Your Stress! 😀 You’ll be glad you did.
Here is how I got rid of my stress:
1. Regular EFT tapping
2. Vitamin D3 & Omega 3 supplementation
4. Just re-training my mind to better quality thoughts. It really is not as hard as we make it. After all, Spirit is always stronger than the mind and the body.
Now I’ll add exercise too. And will be slightly more serious about the diet. I need to lose about 60-70 lbs. And I shall do that in a stress free way, because I am totally healthy! No rush…no stress…no problems. 😀
